Shiloh Ewing
Hello! I am a wife and mother of two little girls age 2 and 1. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics from Kansas State University. I love reading, eating, playing tennis, learning, and watching as my children grow and learn more every day.
I grew up in Kansas amongst family and relatives, but I've had a heart for missions since I was in middle school. It wasn't until four or five years ago that my husband and I began to specifically feel called to the Japanese people. As we sought to determine what that would look like, we volunteered with a couple different refugee ministries in Wichita, including an ESL class that helped me finally recognize my love for teaching English. Then, through a series of conversations and job applications, we found ourselves on Maui in September 2016. And then, on April 2, we found out that I got accepted into the JET Program as an Assistant Language Teacher! We'll be moving to Who-Knows-Where, Japan, at the beginning of August. We plan on staying in Japan as long as the Japanese government will allow us!
