Ver Monillo
I am Pastor Ver Monillo, a Filipino Baptist Pastor/Missionary and Founder of Bohol Missions, Mabuhay, San Pascual, Ubay, Bohol, Philippines.
I graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor's of Science in Commerce (BSC), major in Accounting and Economics from La Consolacion College, Bacolod city, Philippines and endowed a Master’s Degree in Theology on March 14, 2006 from Theology University, An Educational Ministry of Theology University Professors & Seminary Class Organization Inc. Quezon City, Philippines.
For over 25 Years from 1992 to November 2017, I worked as a Tent Maker Missionary and Pastor of a church called “Lighthouse”, in a country where Christian Organization and Christian Worship publicly is prohibited. We worship secretly in underground churches and in Hiding Places. It’s God’s amazing grace and mercy and promises from the Bible that we survive. To God be the Glory!
As a Tent Making Missionary, I worked as Admin Staff in a Petrochemical Company where I met and worked with my Japanese superiors, for at least 3 years. I was so impressed of their commitments to their jobs, hardworking, very organized, honest, reliable, respectful, friendly and above all their kindness. When I started sharing God to them although it is forbidden, I was shocked that most of them were atheists. I couldn't believe it and I cried to God to save them. Few days later, God intervened, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I visited 4 Engineers who later became my Bible students and prayer partners until we finished our contract and said goodbye to each other. I am not a Native English Speaker but it was helping and teaching them English that I won their trust that God used to bring them to Him.
