Course Description:

Instructor: John Mehn. Assistants: Donald Wright, Naoko Boatwright.

This eight-week study program will provide tools to understand and engage Japanese religious beliefs and worldview with the purpose of touching hearts and meeting needs through the gospel in the Japanese context.

    Course Requirements:

    The course does not require any face-to-face interaction, so you can participate wherever you live.

    Course Description:

    This eight-week study program will help you understand the complexity of the Japanese religious landscape and provide principles to help share the gospel.

    Format for Course:

    1. Reading:

    i. Sowing The Gospel Seed in Japanese Soil. $6.99 at Amazon.

    ii. Operation Japan, is available in paperback format and ebook. An expanded digital version is available on request for $5. Request for Operation Japan Digital Version. There also are two FB groups in Japanese and English.

    3. Practical Application:

    4. Interviews:

    Two interviews with Japanese and one with foreigner. If a Japanese person is not available, a contact will be provided.

    5. Visit a Japanese Church.

    6. Writing:

    1. Weekly Observations (Approximately 200 words): Due every Saturday 11:59pm. “What I Have Learned.” This will be submitted on-line and posted on www.rjcnetwork.org, accessible by password only.

    2. Students will read reports from other students weekly and make comments.

    7. Attend two Conference Call Discussions.
