  • Greetings! My name is Roni Okubo. I am a mother of two boys – Kenjo (5) and Yuji (2). My husband, Mick (Mitsuru) and I have been married for 9 years. We recently moved from Chicago to Southern California so he could be pastor of a Japanese congregation. We met in seminary and both have MDiv degrees. This is his first pastorate and an answer to a long-awaited prayer.

I took a course or two from RJC a few years ago. Now that we are actively in a Japanese community, I would like to continue learning more about the Japanese culture. I’m hoping to learn Japanese as well.
