Hi! I’m a 60-year-old expat serving the Lord Jesus as a missionary in Kyotanabe city in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture. My wife is my best friend and partner of 35 years as well as a second-gen missionary. We have 4 children, including 2 daughters that are married. Our other daughter is in nursing school and our son is in college. We were recently promoted to the position of grandparents thanks to the birth of our grandson. We are blessed to be part of a great international church family and have the opportunity to share Christ’s love with those around us.
Being outdoors, reading good books, being with friends, watching and participating in sports are some of my hobbies. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Catherine and Peter Marshall, Ken Ham, Andrew Peterson, and Benjamin Watson are some of my favorite authors and speakers. I came to Japan from Colorado and enjoy the occasional opportunities to return there, be with family and soak in God’s amazing creative beauty and the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains. I teach English part-time at some Japanese universities to support our ministry and provide another avenue to share the good news of Jesus’ love for all people.
