Riz Crescini
"Hello, everyone! My name is Riz Crescini and I hail from the Chicagoland area. After graduating from the University of Illinois, I was on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for a couple of years. After that, I moved to Kobe, Japan and taught English at the high school level for 3 years. When my contract expired, I went back to the States to work for a car insurance company while my wife, Anne, completed a Masters degree in Linguistics. When Anne graduated we moved to Kyushu, Japan where she and I both currently work at a university. I also run a portrait photography business and have recently opened a studio in my home. We have entered our 18th year in Japan. We also have 3 daughters aged 12, 10, and 8. Last year, we became career missionaries with the Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society (JEMS).
I love sports, especially basketball. I love to read and I also love to travel. I have a deep interest in apologetics and worldview. To help with our ministry in Japan, I am starting a Master’s program in Cultural Apologetics in the fall. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and say “Hi!”. I’m looking forward to connecting with you!”
